New Fluorescent glass colors
Glo-Glass emits colored light under a fluorescent blacklight bulb from a clear or timed base glass. Brightness is directly related to thickness. So using solid color is recommended. To make these exotic colors affordable, a color concentrate frit has been developed. Colors available are pink, blue, orange, green, and red-orange. Color bars are available now and concentrated frit available upon order. |

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING GLO-GLASS CONCENTRATES Mix concentrate well with your batch at a 1:10 ratio, concentrate: batch example. 1 kg. concentrate: 10 kg. batch. Melt batch as usual. This is the maximum amount of concentrate that should be used as a decrease in fluorescence may occur if higher concentrations are used. If working with thicker sections (over 2 cm), or solid, a 1:20 ratio may be used with satisfactory results, though brightness of color will diminish slightly. Fluorescence occurs only when glass has cooled. GLO-GLASS is activated by a fluorescent black light bulb, or ultraviolet light source with black light filter. The amount of visible light should be kept to a minimum.

GLO-BLUE Concentrate: Mix 1:10 for a maximum brightness. May require more time to melt to prevent seeds. Will be a little stiffer than standard Spruce Pine Batch. Clear in natural light.
GLO-ORANGE Concentrate: Mix 1:10 for best results. Some increase in brightness may occur at higher concentrations. Doubling the amount of concentrate will not necessarily double the brightness. Pale orange in natural light. GLO-PINK Concentrate: Mix 1:10 with batch. Will increase in brightness in higher concentrations and is still good at 1:20 though paler. Clear in natural light. GLO-GREEN Concentrate: NOTE: best results at 1:5. Brightness increases at higher concentrations but may need adjustment for compatibility. Still bright at 1:20. Yellow tint in natural light. |
